Education in Diak
The operation of Diak
is divided into two parts: Degree Diak focuses on the
implementation of degree oriented education, while ServiceDiak concentrates
on educational, research and development services targeted outside Diak.
DegreeDiak
All
Diak education leading to a degree takes place within DegreeDiak. There
are four degree programmes in Finnish (Nursing, Social Services,
Communication and Media and Sign Language Interpretation). In addition,
Diak has launched a new Degree Programme in Social Services in English.
All
Diak degree programmes emphasise the close connection with the working
life. The education is designed to help the students to gain solid
professional competence and develop a high standard for professional
ethics.
ServiceDiak
ServiceDiak
activities include the Open Polytechnic and continuing education.
ServiceDiak also offers training that helps to develop working life,
organisations and working communities.
From ServiceDiak you will
find the training services, research and development services, information
services, and career and recruitment services. In addition to the courses
and training modelus, the training can be customised to meet the needs of
