Diak International Week 2010, May 3-7

Diak East, Pieksämäki

Diak would like to invite you and your colleagues to join our international week in May 2010 in Pieksämäki!

Come and explore…
…innovations in elderly care, participation and inclusion and in family work
…how to succesfully cooperate with developing countries
…how to administer an international office: joys and pains of our daily life shared in collegial spirit to find solutions and best practices
…new ideas and contacts in the field of international education

…Workshops, meetings, free discussions, study visits, leisure activities…

See the preliminary programme here (PDF). Right to changes is reserved.

We are focusing on three main streams:
1) international education in the field of social and health care: national policies, national curricula, international and multicultural reality? Central topics are f.ex. elderly care, participation and inclusion and cooperation with developing countries
2) administering the internationalisation of the higher education institution: the work quotidienne of international offices
3) research, development and innovation in international context: international projects from A to Z

Our three streams mean that we warmly welcome the members of the academic staff, international offices and R&D departments to join us in May! One of our main aims is to strenghten the existing networks and to bring the actors together to create new kinds of ideas in research, development, teaching and administration. DIAKIW will be an ideal to combine with any teacher or staff exchanges.

If we managed to raise your interest, register yourself here and follow the programme development on this DIAKIW website.

Registration deadline for the International week is April 10, 2010.
