ServiceDiak
Diak
offers services for the improvement of working life, to support service
providers and regional development. It provides these services via
ServiceDiak (PalveluDiak in Finnish). ServiceDiak offers the services of
Diak to public bodies, the third sector, churches and parishes.
ServiceDiak
is developing international cooperation in the fields of diaconia, social
welfare, health care, media and sign language. We offer a national network
for collaboration and expertise in research, work community training and
the development of skills in various specialist fields.
Multifaceted
supply
Educational services offered by ServiceDiak include
tailored courses of supplementary education, vocational development and
open polytechnic courses. Our know-how is based on research, evaluation
and project work.
We have an extensive investment in project work.
Right now we have about 100 ongoing projects and approximately 10 percent
(about 2 million euros) of our annual internal financing comes from
external sources.

Links with DegreeDiak
The
practical training of the students at Diak is related to the specific
needs of working life. Through cooperation with DegreeDiak we are able to
offer possibilities for students to make their final thesis in relation to
an organisation’s needs. We aim to make it possible for students to take
part in our research and development projects when ever it is possible.
