The
Degree Programme in Nursing
The degree programme in nursing
provides qualification for nurse or public health nurse. Education is
available for youth and adult students. There are three specialisation
options.
Option in Nursing
• Degree title: Nurse
•
Length of programme: 210 credit units (cr)
• Available at the following
Diak units: Helsinki, Oulu, Pieksämäki and Pori
Option in
Diaconal Nursing
• Degree title: Nurse + qualification for the post
of diaconia in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland
• Length of
programme: 240 cr
• Available at the following Diak units: Helsinki,
Oulu, Pieksämäki and Pori
Option in Health Care
•
Degree title: Public Health Nurse
• Length of programme: 240 cr
•
Available at the following Diak units: Helsinki.
• This option includes
the studies of the Nurse degree title, after which students continue to
the Public Health Nurse degree title. The qualification for the post of
diaconia is not possible in this option.

The Degree Programme in Social Services
The
degree programme in social services leads to the degree title of Bachelor
of Social Services. Education is available both for youth and adult
students. There are three specialisation options.
Option in Social
Services
• Degree title: Bachelor of Social Services

Length of programme: 210 cr

Helsinki, Järvenpää, Oulu, Pieksämäki and Pori
Option
in Christian Youth Work
• Degree title: Bachelor of Social Services
+ qualification for the post of youth work leader in the Evangelical
Lutheran Church of Finland
• Length of programme: 210 cr

Pieksämäki
Option in Diaconal Social Work
• Degree
title: Bachelor of Social Services + qualification for the post of
diaconia in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland

Järvenpää, Oulu, Pieksämäki and Pori
Degree
Programme in Sign Language Interpretation
• Degree title:
Sign Language Interpreter
• Length of programme: 240 cr
